Executive Bio – Dr. Bruce Offutt

Director, Risk Management & Legal Services

Bruce is currently responsible for working with the insurance companies mitigating risk for the overall organization and interfacing with outside counsel to advise management as related to potential legal issues which includes but is not limited to contracts, corporate affairs, human resources, M&A, and litigation.  Additional duties include review and approval of all contracts and term & conditions as related to suppliers, as well as customers.  Setup of all projects in system and review and approval of costing, forward pricing rates and profitability of projects.  Further duties are ensuring compliance with DoD, FAR, ITAR, CAS, and other domestic and international governmental requirements which includes taxation, as well as other legal requirements.  Assist with the banking relationships and manage credit card facilities for the overall organization.  Also help to manage internal information technology  requirements for the overall organization and ensure that critical systems are functional and meet the demand as well as needs of the internal customer so that they can complete their missions.  As Corporate Secretary duties include the attendance of all board meeting, recording and filing the minutes of these meeting.  Provide counsel to board on financial, technology and legal issues.  Draft resolutions and ensure their acceptance by all members.

Prior to joining RELYANT, Bruce held various senior level positions in finance with many high-level companies across the U.S.  Bruce has his Juris Doctorate from John Marshall School of Law, an MBA in Accounting from Northrop University as well as his BA from William Jewell College.  Bruce served in the United States Army and is also Six Sigma Greenbelt certified.
